My client's old kitchen was hopelessly out of date. I first suggested that we open the wall between the kitchen and dining room.
I designed that opening as an arch to match the other arched openings in the house, however an angled wall created a challenge.
In order to fulfill all of my client's appliance and cabinetry needs, while assuring that the kitchen looked pleasing from the dining room,
I designed the refrigerator to sit against that angle. The corners created on either side contain a broom closet and custom open shelves.
High end appliances include a Wolf range, Sub Zero refrigerator and Miele dishwasher. The cabinets are Natural Alder, in a traditional style,
and are complimented by the backsplash of tumbled limestone inset with colorful Spanish tiles. The red walls add a bold canvas for the warm wood, completing this inviting new kitchen.
