The kitchen in this house, that was built for resale, had to be luxurious and beautiful while appealing to a wide range of prospective buyers.
The windows and other features of the house have an Arts and Crafts influence, which was the inspiration for my design and choice of materials.
In keeping with the style, I chose cabinets with a simple Shaker door in a combination of cherry wood and white paint.
The backsplash, of white brick tiles and insets with a raised motif, along with the light fixtures, continue the subtle Arts and Crafts influence.
I added arches under the sink and island cabinets to complete these period details and add character to the cabinet design.
Another arch accents the tall buffet cabinet that faces the breakfast room. This final touch provides storage and elegance in keeping with the style of the house.
