Located near a pair of home office rooms, this bathroom had to be both a personal retreat and powder room. My client asked for a bathroom that would feel fresh, urban, clean and simple. To this end, we chose light colored tiles and a design that somewhat evokes a Japanese aesthetic, but with contemporary touches. The one person steam shower has a generous bench for relaxation, while the tall glass enclosure lend an open feel to this small room. In keeping with our clean, simple look, shelves are floated in the walls, some deep ones for towels, others just enough for soap and candles, or a small vase of flowers.
