House Kitchen Bath

A room that evokes a calm and soothing feeling, with a whirlpool tub for two, double shower with hand spray, two sinks and lots of storage, is now the perfect master bath for this busy couple.

To divide the large master bedroom, a major structural problem had to be solved. The toilet could not be relocated and the wall that separated the existing narrow bathroom and closet from the bedroom could not be moved. The toilet was left in place and a new, and separate, bath area created. The old bathroom is now a water closet with small corner sink and the closet is big enough for two.

To separate the bath area from the bedroom, I designed a curved wall, echoing the spiral staircase leading upstairs. Neutral materials and colors were used throughout while harsh lines and contrasts have been minimized to create a soothing oasis in which to relax after a busy day.
