This bathroom functions as both a powder room and a guest bath. The clients also requested a steam shower for their personal use. And since they preferred slate for the walls and teak accessories, a Japanese motif influenced the design.
A solid marble vessel sink, on a cherry wood pedestal, with metal and glass sconces on either side, are the focus of this simple, yet elegant room. Bamboo is set into a slate border for the floor, both to carry the Japanese feel and to add warmth to a room filled with stone. Glass tile accents, placed randomly, add a subtle surprise.
