The bathroom near the front door of this loft was bigger than needed, but there was no coat closet. And being one of three, it was to function as powder room and occasional guest bath. Additional walls and doors were added for the closet, which left enough room for all the essentials. Storage was not required, so a thin slab of limestone for the sink creates a dramatic statement. Two resin panels, with imbedded red hydrangea thatch, divert attention from the unappealing view of the toilet. Finally, red walls add a punch of colour and a touch of drama to this calm, minimalist space.
